Primary Care
I've been increasingly curious about the new-age approach of tech-enabled, membership-based primary care delivery by a company that is 'full-stack' (ie. owns the clinic, staff, tech and outcomes). It's a harbinger of how value-based approach will be adopted throughout the industry. Hence tracked here.
- Cityblock: $299M raised. Backed by Alphabet, General Catalyst.
- Iora Health: $349M raised. Flare Capital.
- Oak Street: IPO'd Aug 2020. Cap $13B+
- Forward: $XXXM raised (unclear exactly how much). Ashton Kutcher is one of the investors.
- One Medical: One of the original membership-based primary care. IPO'd early 2020. Mkt cap is around $5.6B.
- Aledade: Founded 2014. Not a Primary Care company itself but it partners with practices to support them on the ACO journey.
- Chenmed: One of the original full-risk primary care. Florida based.
- Crossover Health: $113M raised. NVP backed.
- Privia Health: $417M raised. Goldman Sachs, Cardinal Partners backed.
- Village MD: $491M raised. Walgreen Boots Alliance is an investor and a partner.
